Every year at the end of June, thousands of fun-loving visitors flock to the remote Šentviška plateau in the municipality of Tolmin. They are cared for for three days by more than three hundred and fifty locals who have been organizing the Mountain Rock Festival for twenty-one years. During the performances of music groups (Big Foot Mama, Vlado Kreslin and Little Gods, Magnifico, MRFY, Dead Poets Society, Hamo & Tribute 2 Love, S.A.R.S., Tabu, Fehtarji, Orlek, Fed Horses, Delta Riff, Agan, Ikebane Ensemble, Mačji Kwt, Pižoni, Smacked, Vazz Live, Killing Klub, Brkovi, Strmole Quartet, Snežet Vocal Group with Folk Musicians) we get to know the organizers of the charity festival, which has grown from humble beginnings into the identity core of the people of these places. It has become a meeting point of rural and urban culture, a building block of social cohesion, a meeting place for people who would not otherwise have met, and a generator of relationships that would not have happened otherwise. In an age of triumphant individualism, Mount Rock is an expression of group spirit, and that is why Planotars are increasingly wondering if they can defy the pressure of time and whether they will still have the strength to continue the project that has outgrown them all.
