The animated film features paleontologist Mary Anning at the age of twelve. A curious, brave and imperturbable girl breaks the rules and norms of her time at a young age, and later becomes one of the first female scientists. Her story encourages us to follow ourselves and our interests.

Mary Anning in 1811. She runs wild with her puppy in the area, protests to the parish priest at the religious service, defends herself from classmates who make fun of her, and searches for fossils by the sea with her brother. He also wants to reveal the meaning of the mysterious drawing that his father drew before his disappearance. Mary Anning is fearless, curious, fair, and critical, the reason for many of the grey hair of adults and a role model for children. The neighbors watch from under their raised eyebrows to see what will come out of this penance, certainly nothing smart, but they couldn't be more wrong...

Mary Anning was an English paleontologist, a lover of fossils, which she loved to search for and explore since childhood. Her research significantly contributed to the understanding of evolution, and the work of Mary Anning is said to have been known to Charles Darwin himself.
